Name: Lydia Dawson
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Species: Human
Personality: Though Lydia’s tongue freezes when she’s in front of too many people, she tends to be an over confident dare-devil, and is often exploring places better left unexplored. She loves the prospect of adventure and the rush of adrenalin much more than she fears for her own skin, and is over all rather happy-go-lucky. Despite all this, Lydia is slow to trust and make friends with anyone, and is as tight with her money as she is with words exchanged with strangers. If you want to get right down to it, Lydia is a rather quirky individual once you get to know her; loving adventure beyond all else, though she does have a measure of ambition.
History: Lydia has some reason to be tight with her money; after she and her family of farmers had gone through several rough spots she has decided she wants to save up what money she can. Migrating like birds from small village to small village with the crops, the Dawsons finally decided to settle down and dabble in the creature selling business, and Lydia was hauled along, now determined to get a job so she could stay put for a while.
Even now has her eye on a job as a Hunter.
Roleplay Sample:
The silence… The lack of sound pounded on her eardrums, worse than the roar of a dragon. It made her headache, and fingers quiver in excitement and anticipation, and it brought a wide grin to her face. Lydia knew that she was taking a risk by even being at this distance from the legendary volcano. Near the peak she could see red magma, glowing faintly in the dim light of the cloudy day, and warm sulfurous breezes drifted down from its slopes to tug at her short black hair. Here, you never knew what lurked around the corner, despite the fact that she wasn’t close enough to the Volcanoe to be in constant danger. Callused fingers ran idly along the well-worn bone handle of her father’s dagger; carried as a mere precaution. Lydia grin faded into an absent smile as the fun wore off. No matter how dangerous this might be, even if she found her way up the mountain, the perils were ifs, and anyway, the light was fading. This adventure would be saved for another day. But a climb? That was something she couldn’t turn down. Turning her back on the Fuego Volcanoe, Lydia forced her feet into a run as she started back in the direction of home, where trees were large and abundant enough even for her tastes.
Other: Lydia can use a dagger with reasonable proficiency, but she’s no expert. Though she doesn’t have a real job yet, she’s always looking for ways to earn money.
